New Podcast Series: Les Réfugiés

The Huguenot Society of South Carolina is pleased to launch a new audio podcast, Les Réfugiés.

Join us for each episode as we bring years of Huguenot research out of the cabinets and drawers to listeners via informal conversations with scholars and other personalities. While our Society may have been founded in 1885, our work is not done. We continue to research, discover new ancestors, and write scholarly work on Huguenot families and their contributions to South Carolina.

Each episode will feature our host, Elizabeth F. Gay, Executive Director of the Society, as she engages historians, authors, and other personalities in conversation. She noted, “We are so excited to breathe life into Huguenot history with this new series and to introduce our valued historians, researchers, members and friends as they present a wide array of history and family stories.” Aside from the lineages the Society has recorded over the years, it also has researched many family stories.  There will be dramatic stories of escape, brave service to a new nation, skilled craftsmanship, love stories, and more.

The podcasts will be approximately twenty minutes each and are perfect for a café au lait break. Please listen in as Elizabeth hosts these engaging conversations.
