Ulisse Antoine Albergotti
Ulisse Antoine Albergotti Ulisse Antoine Albergotti is accepted as an ancestor by HSSC, although, strictly speaking, he was not a Huguenot (French Portestant) since he was Italian by birth.[1] He had converted to Protestantism by 21 Aug 1713 when he was in Switzerland. He was evidently captured in France and on 6 Aug 1714 was arrested and escorted to the Chasteller Prison (Fort-of-the-Bishop). On 4 Mar 1715, he was removed from the Fort and ordered to leave France. He and his wife Prudence baptized their daughter Marie Michelle on 7 Apr 1727 in London. Henri Newman was her Godfather; Marie de la Touche and Michelle Desperville de Chamberjau were her Godmothers. She was born 27 Mar 1727.[2] By 1734 the family was in Carolina on their way to Purrysburg.
