Headquarters requires a few repairs and maintenance work which requires the property to close. The team is working remotely and will respond to emails during business hours, and the work of the Society continues. We will update all as soon as operations can safely resume. Thank you!

Hours and Holidays

M-F, 10am - 4pm Headquarters is Open to Visitors
If you would like to conduct research, please contact us to schedule a visit to afford the staff the opportunity to make your visit productive and enjoyable.


We are closed on Federal Holidays and
the Wednesday to Friday of Thanksgiving week, and the last two weeks of December.
In the event of inclement weather, we follow the City of Charleston closings.
